T-Cell: The future of decentralized energy supply

What is the T Cell?

The T-Cell is an innovative fuel cell technology that enables efficient and sustainable energy supply. It is compact, powerful and can generate both electricity and heat.

What sets them apart?

The T-Cell is based on a new, holistic technology that is optimized in a thermodynamic sense. This means it achieves an overall efficiency of up to 97%. This is the highest efficiency achieved for fuel cell technology to date.

How can it be used?

The T-Cell is therefore ideal for decentralized energy supply, as it can generate electricity and heat directly where they are needed with minimal energy loss.

What is the performance of the T-Cell?

The T-Cell is mass-produced by T-Cell AG and is available in a power class of 270 kW to 3 MW electrical and 145 kW to 1 MW thermal. This makes it suitable for a wide range of applications and allows for flexible use.

The T-Cell introduces itself. Discover the diverse applications and variants of the T-Cell in this introduction video!

The advantages at a glance

  • Hydrogen key technology

The latest generation of SOEC/SOFC stack, developed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute IKTS in Dresden.

  • High efficiency

Thanks to the coupling of different systems, a very high electrical efficiency of >65% can be achieved. If the heat is also used, the efficiency increases to >97%. World record!

  • Multifuel Ready

Depending on local conditions, different fuels can be used flexibly.

  • Can be integrated into existing infrastructure

A normal connection to the existing gas infrastructure can be used, meaning the T-Cell is ready for use immediately. By using mixed renewable hydrogen, the T-Cell expands its application in a CO₂-neutral way.

  • Up to 100% CO₂ reduction

When using hydrogen, synthesis, power-to-X or biogas, additional CO₂ emissions can be avoided - despite consistently high efficiency.

  • Scalable

Thanks to its modular design, the T-Cell can be flexibly combined and its performance can be scaled. Several T-Cells can be connected in a cluster using sector coupling and achieve the performance of a power plant.

  • Design diversity

Thanks to its changeable external appearance through different forms and uses of the outer shell, it is an asset for public space and for existing neighborhoods.
